December SunshineWatercolour on Arches 140 lbs CP paper. Image size 11" (28 cm) by 15" (38 cm) © 2003.This is a timeless picture of an imaginary scene. It was painted principally for my 2003 Christmas card. The building is typical of some old mills that have survived from pioneer days in Southern Ontario. Some have been been refurbished for commercial or residential purposes, as suggested in this painting. The lower level is shown as rubble-stone construction with river-stone facing. The sheltie sunning herself on the cleared flagstone path was Meg, a member of our family. Picture status - Available.
